West of Madison are the small towns of Arena and Spring Green, and somewhere between these towns exists a beautiful wedding venue called Sugarland. Perfect for a rustic wedding theme, Sugarland offers a charming farmhouse, beautiful grounds, and an expansive barn that Felix and Fingers rocked out in!
Molly and Nate put on a gorgeous wedding celebration! We played for the ceremony beneath a gigantic tree, which made for some beautiful photo ops. Cocktails followed outside the barn, and I can honestly say, they had the best gourmet cheese board that I’ve ever experienced! Things were cut a bit short when the rain started, but the cheese was quickly delivered to the safety of the barn.
The barn wedding reception was gorgeous, and we especially liked the acoustics of playing our show in the huge space. One of the highlights from the wedding was when one of the fathers performed Hava Nagila on accordion. Then the Groom’s sister came on stage and performed one of her original tunes while we accompanied her with drums and sax.

The photographer for the event was Rebecca Wersland and she captured the shots in this post. Definitely look into some of her amazing shots, especially for Madison Area weddings!
We’ve probably played a dozen or so rustic weddings to date and have loved every one! Dueling pianos has proven to be a great fit for any theme and we can’t wait for our next visit to Sugarland!
