There was no time on the PDF where I could eat and start the dinner show and if there was I am mistaken. I did my best to time correctly and ate after the guests were seated and eating. But as I was finishing my break I was asked to play music by the bride. Additionally the bar was outside the venue where the show was. If I'm on calls I try to discourage the client from setting it up this way. People were decided between the drinks and the show so it was challenging to get them involved when they would intermittently go outside for long periods of time. | |

Reason For No Review | Although I feel the bride and groom were happy with my work given the generous tip and compliments, I feel that the night could have gone better for the reasons listed above. |
Blog Note 1 | A Magical Start to the Evening Don and Karrie’s wedding was running ahead of schedule, so I kicked things off early with some elegant dinner music. The atmosphere was warm, filled with love and laughter as guests enjoyed their meals. At 8 PM, it was time for the cake cutting and the couple’s beautiful first dance. As they swayed together, the room felt like a scene from a fairy tale—pure magic. With the dance floor soon opening, I knew the real party was just about to begin! |
Blog Note 2 | A High-Energy Request Show As the dance floor opened, I turned up the energy with fun sing-along and dance-along tunes. The crowd was electric, and requests started pouring in! Guests of all ages sang, clapped, and danced, making for an unforgettable night. The energy was contagious, and the joy in the room was undeniable. By 9:30 PM, it was time for the DJ to take over, but the excitement lingered. The night was already one for the books! |
Blog Note 3 | A Perfect Ending As the show wrapped up, Don and Karrie had some amazing words for me, sharing how much they loved the energy and liveliness of the performance. It was an honor to be part of such a special night! At 10:30 PM, we ended on a high note, with the newlyweds preparing for their honeymoon in Costa Rica. Their smiles said it all—it was a night filled with love, music, and unforgettable memories. Wishing them a lifetime of happiness! |
Other Notes | I don't think the bride and groom had a wedding planner. The bride and mother seemed to be sharing the flow of the evening with the venue manager. Because of this I stuck to the pdf for the timing/logistics etc. and that seemed to work fine. |
