Save for a very few, the crowd wasn’t into it. It was a mixer, so I felt like our show was secondary to that function.

Same reason as above. There were some folks (maybe ten people?) who were into the show in a big way, and others were kind of appreciative, but again, we were practically background music because most people were drinking and mingling.

This event was a mixer for a company with over 60 locations, so out-of-towners were treated to a delicious classic North Carolina meal of greens, mac n cheese, corn bread, pulled pork and fried chicken.

This crowd exercised our 21st century music muscles a lot which was really fun, by asking for Chappell roan, Britney Spears, *NSYNC , Taylor swift, Shaboozy and more.

Table 13 were the audience champions of the night, singing along to every song, clapping their hands, and having the time of their lives!

Rachel Klimala called me today at 2:45pm to make sure we were still coming because she hadn’t heard from FnF in “forever”. I did not see or interact with her at all at the gig (although I was player only, no setup or teardown). We were not introduced by anyone before playing — we just went up onstage at 6:30 and started the show.

John’s rig and sound setup was probably the best I’ve ever had for a dueling gig!
