Manage Handwrytten Notes

This may have been one of the best private dueling events I have played. The team at the Andaz really put together such a seamless and beautiful oceanside space including hanging a beautiful chandelier above the stage and pianos and stringlights throughout the entire lawn above all of the 250 or so people in attendance. Watching sunset at cocktail hour moving into the evening with the twinkling lights was something to create awestruck.

One of the really special parts of this event was that the client wanted a full replication of what they had seen in a public dueling piano show and really took the time to make sure the audience was prepared for that kind of show. We started with background music while they were getting their food and eating and then paused to pass out request slips before starting the dueling show. We had a flawless dueling show with sing alongs, song battles and everything you could ever want in a good show.

Steven is an absolute master at comedic timing in playing dueling shows and he and I had such a fun time bantering back and forth being goofy together and you could tell it really connected with our audience as well who was laughing along with us as we played through all of their requests!
