Handwrytten - Felix And Fingers Dueling Pianos

Manage Handwrytten Notes

Gig Score from player (1-5)3

It was just a “meh” gig- crowd was a mixed bunch of retired age folks who I think mostly came for dinner. There were plenty of requests and I played most of them, but they just left after dinner, 40 mins early. Even Robert walked out at 7:50 while I was still playing and said “have a good night”. I played for the service staff and then ended and packed up. Robert was a bit of an awkward human. I tried my best to promote crowd participation and there was some, just not how it usually is for a show.

See explanation above. I’m pretty sure they enjoyed it but it was just a quiet and awkward bunch of people.

Blog Note 1

Maggianos was the perfect setting for an intimate gathering for a family style meal. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting but with a buzz of positive energy about it.

Blog Note 2

The staff, particularly Shakira, was exceptionally helpful with logistics, feeding and hydrating the musician as well as accommodating some things needed out of the ordinary. All with a bright and kind smile on her face.

Blog Note 3

The little banquet room off of the main restaurant was a quiet rustic feel of a room perfect for a small gathering of less than 50 people, but definitely could have handled more. And not to mention THE FOOD was delicious including the Tiramisu, a personal favorite.
