Manage Handwrytten Notes

This show was for the Wayne Co. Hospital annual staff gala in Corydon, Iowa, and took place in The Brick, a beautiful historic event hall. Aaron and I met with The Brick staff upon arrival, who showed us around and instructed us on using service lift, which made load-in a snap.

Ali, our hospital contact, introduced herself as we set up. We went over the evening's program, and she wanted to check that, despite the evening's 1950's theme, we weren't planning on only playing 50's music during the live show. We assured her that although we had some 50's tunes prepared, we would be playing all requests as per usual.

This group wanted to dance! Ali and her co-workers filled the floor from the first song, and stayed there until the DJ set was over. We shared duties on the 50's music, with Aaron providing Elvis and me doing Sam Cooke, but the majority of requests were 90's rock and hip hop. What a fun crowd!
