Manage Handwrytten Notes

This show was for Basepoint Wealth's annual Holiday party, and took place at Cedar Rapids' The History Center. I met with venue manager Jenny upon arrival, who was super helpful and showed me the best load-in points of access.

During set-up, we met our contact Shelley Woods. We went over the night's easy sequence of events, just a quick speech from owner Kate and a Powerpoint before our show. She also reiterated that Director of Operations Katie was still planning to sing with us, so we made sure to set up a third mic for her. We grabbed some delicious apps after setup and were ready to start right after their presentation.

Shelley wasn't sure the crowd would be requesting tunes, but with only a little prompting from us we had the pianos covered with hits from 60's classics to 80's country to 00's hip hop. The highlight for me was definitely when Katie came up to sing. She selected "Baby It's cold outside", and our unrehearsed duet had Basepoint Wealth laughing and applauding their DoO.
