A lot of small things added up. Load-in/out was frustrating (see below), there were miscommunications (see below), we didn't get to eat, there was no drinking water in the venue, etc. BUT the show itself was fantastic. They had such a great time and really really loved us. They were very friendly and easy to work with. So that's why my rating is in the middle. | |
Apparently, the venue was unaware that we provide our own sound system, and had hired a separate company to provide sound. The venue manager seemed frustrated that we weren't using that sound company for our show, so that company only provided sound for the videos the client had prepared (which is something we could have done, too). Perhaps that was a miscommunication between the venue and the client, but is there something we can do in the middle of the process to mitigate these types of problems? | |

Blog Note 2 | We were told there probably wouldn't be much dancing, since this was a corporate event, but this financial team came to PARTY! They were on the dance floor the entire show, singing at the tops of their lungs and dancing the night away. |
Blog Note 3 | The venue staff was as much fun as the client! I loved when I was able to catch a glimpse of them singing and dancing along with everyone else. |
