Gig Score from player (1-5) | 1 - Really Poorly |
---|---|
Entirely the venue's fault. They scheduled an upstairs patio wedding the same day as a giant music festial, so there was literally no way to access the venue for load in, even temporarily. So I had to push my cart uphill a quarter mile... in a downpour. Don't worry, I used my suit to cover the gear and protect it from the rain. So yeah, not my most fun wedding. | |
Ask For Review? | Test the waters... |
Reason For No Review | Because of the venue festival and load in issues, I wasn't able to set up in time to go to their house and play acoustic piano for the ceremony, which is what we had originally discussed. I had let them know this was likely once I found out I couldn't access the venue, so they were warned. But still, test the waters. |
Blog Note 1 | Bridget and Travis held their reception on the elegant rooftop of 6Smith in Wayzata, MN looking out over a pristine lake spotted with sailboats. Throughout cocktails and appetizers, a string quartet played delightful pop song covers! |
Blog Note 2 | Jake brought the energy to this solo show, even though it was a smaller group at 60 people in total, we still got everybody on to the dance floor, twisting away to the Beatles, tapping their toes to Footloose, and dropping it alllll the way down during Shout by the Isley Brothers |
Blog Note 3 | At the end of the night, guests were surprised by an incredible fireworks show over the horizon of the lake! And to match, the Yacht Club strung bright colored lights along their sailboats and made for quite a spectacle! |
