Handwrytten - Felix And Fingers Dueling Pianos

Manage Handwrytten Notes

Gig Score from player (1-5)3

There was a lot of stress setting up for the gig as the floor plan provided was different than the setup of the stage. The trophy tables were in a different position, and that seemed to stress Nate out a lot, and he was very particular about communicating the amount of time he had to set up to the venue coordinators. If the coordinators didn’t have an answer for him after 2 min, we would get flustered. I felt there was a more direct and easier way to cut through this by reaching out to Amanda directly.

There was also no green room provided to get ready or store my personal items, so I got ready in a bathroom stall and put my belongings under the stage.

The client also asked us to stop playing dueling pianos early and turn it into a DJ. I am unsure if it was because of our performance or if that was their preference for the vibe of the party.

Nate was having a hard day (understandable with the personal matters going on in his life), and his attitude seemed to fluster the coordinator. He’s very particular about how he likes to do things, and I think he was having a stressful and emotional day. I don’t want to push this too much, we all have those days and it’s certainly under

He was also actively asking for future work from the venue coordinator while setting up, which I thought was in poor taste. He also was asking me to share about how I get corporate bookings outside of F&F- felt very gig grabby and money hungry.

Nate also would argue with me about drum beats for songs he didn’t know, would take over a song I was leading, would play a whole song instead of pivoting to another song if it wasn’t going well/the dance floor cleared out.

Reason For No Review

I tried my best to go around to the clients after our show to get a sense if they had a good time, and the crowd seemed very happy. Amanda seemed happy as well, but I put test the waters as there were so many elements that did not go as planned.
