Our contact, Caroline, was sick the night of the show, so Nicole stepped in to help us run the evening. She did a great job and was really easy to work with.

We gave a shoutout to "DJ Drip" (alter-ego of one of the employees?) that really became a running bit.

There was one guy in particular that was a quiet but having a really great time watching us play. (Come to find out later that was the group across the board lol.) Slid me some relatively left field requests and was really pleased with them, and then he came up to us afterward saying it was his first dueling show like this and he'd absolutely hire us for his future events. Makes you feel good.

There were mixed responses to sing alongs and dance tunes, and a noted lack of requests, so Jim and I had a great time playing stuff we liked. It was near the end of the show when we figured out that they wanted 80s music haha. But still, people came up and said they really enjoyed themselves.

Load in/out was simple but a looong walk. And there was a quincinera in the room next to us that started before us and was still going as we loaded out.
