Blog Note 1

The staff at the Holiday inn were super helpful throughout this event! We especially appreciated the big cargo carts, which made load in a snap.

Blog Note 2

While we set up, Kevin and I met Heath, the owner at Midway Auto dealerships, who made sure we had everything we need and let us know what to expect from the crowd: not a ton of dancing, but with a few real characters. This proved correct!

Blog Note 3

We sat down with some of the attendees and introduced ourselves over a great steak dinner. The Metallica requests were coming in from some of our tablemates before salad was done!

Blog Note 4

There were some quick announcements, and we started right into the show. We had them singing at their tables and fielded a ton of requests, with old country and tv theme songs being the biggest hits. Heath was right about the dancing, but we did get a good line dance going at the end of the night.

Blog Note 5

Most of our crowd participation came from our guest vocalists (a wireless is always so great at these events), which was mostly a fellow named Josh who rapped, sang, and solo danced much of the night. I also want to shout out Joe who did a spot-on Willie Nelson while I backed him up as Waylon on "Mama Don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys". These guys helped make the night more fun and memorable for all of us.
