Blog Note 1

While playing Proud Mary, Nate had an enthusiastic guest count him in “ 1 2 3 4!” on the fast part intro and it was so fun having them interact as well as having PERFECT timing. Nailed it!

Blog Note 2

Shelby, a guest and family friend of the client, had an amazing voice that I could hear from the piano. So I asked if she wanted to sing and she sang her go-to karaoke song on the wireless, it’s raining men, and blew everyone away. She sang again closing out the night singing bohemian Rapsody and hitting that high note PERFECTLY. I wanted to be her friend after that. She had so much energy and gusto and definitely added a personal element to the show.

Blog Note 3

Requests were all over the place. We played America the beautiful (patriotic music was requested for Veterans Day)into Hot in Herre by Nelly LOL

Blog Note 4

The first song we played was Signed Sealed Delivered as everyone was already all out on the dance floor for photos, which was a seamless transition and got mostly everyone to stay on the dance floor full out for the first couple songs.

Blog Note 5

This was a surprise 40th anniversary event, meaning the guests of honor had NO idea. They were so surprised when they came through the doors. we immediately got them on the dance floor playing their wedding song, “Ribbons in the Sky” by Stevie Wonder. Both John and Debra were all smiles all evening and expressed their gratitude to their guests humbly and also to the entertainment. It was truly special to be a part of celebrating this love story.

Other Notes

Venue manager, Joe, seemed interested in getting in touch with Felix to promote us to other people interested in holding events at his space. The space is a non volunteer firehouse and runs only on income from events, donations and charities. It seems like a great thing they got going and maybe we could help them in a charity event!
