Blog Note 1

The wedding venue was an enormous barn on the Brink family farmland outside Quincy. The bride's brother Matt was on site in his suit and helped me find the right place for parking and showed us to our performance space.

Blog Note 2

A misty rain cut short some of the outside reception plans! Cocktails were planned as a mix of in and outdoors, which proved just too wet. We rolled with it, sound equipment and guests came indoors and the party went on.

Blog Note 3

Mike released the 300-plus guests for dinner and we enjoyed the buffet along with them. A few slices of terrific chicken and greens later and we were all fueled up for the show!

Blog Note 4

The evening's program was efficient and moved along quickly, not too many speeches and all special dances were recorded, and we were ready to start the pianos show 15 minutes early. The group was ready to party from the get-go, and we jumped right in with big, danceable A-songs.

Blog Note 5

This wedding party was eager to dance, sing, and generally be a great Dueling Pianos audience! Disco favorites, some classic country, and especially 90's rock and rap were the biggest hits. We barely ever slowed it down, but the highlight for me was when the entire wedding party swayed together to my rendition of the bride's special request, Colder Weather. What a fun group!
