More time to load in. The elevator was tiny and broken and Chris arrived earlier than the scheduled load in time but still wasn’t able to get his gear into the building fast enough.

The rooftop pool patio was lovely. Perfect for a corporate event and the music echoed off the buildings around us and made us sound like we were singing in a cathedral.

Catering was excellent. I got some shrimp and grits from the chef afterwards and it was peak New Orleans.

They had a cool robot with a camera for a face who took pictures of all the guests. We made friends with it. Haha!

We got lots of lovely compliments from the guests after the show. Particularly about our singing, which I attribute to the cathedral acoustics!

Venue staff were cool and brought us water. Nice people to chat to while you’re setting up.

Oh yeah. And someone got shot outside the building while we were setting up. It was upsetting. I mean, we didn’t do it but it made the event a little uneasy. I was a bit more anxious than usual and the party vibe was a bit gossipy. Everyone kept looking over the balcony at all the police cars. We did our best and didn’t reference it to any of the guests but it was the elephant in the room.
