Manage Handwrytten Notes

The Candlelight Inn is a dockside club on the Mississippi, and we set up on their lower deck overlooking the river. Boats and jet skis passed while we set up and played. One of the best views ever for a gig!

R.G. was our contact and he was on point for everything we needed all night long, while also juggling the catering and bar staff. He helped us find our performance space and had us with water bottles before setup was over.

The buffet was rolled out while we DJ'd Yacht rock, quite appropriate for a boat club. You can't beat shrimp cocktails and fried fish on the water!

R.G. told us this event hadn't been held for 5 years, and they are trying to start it up again. The low deck ceilings and riverside-sunset ambience gave the performance an intimate feel, and we had about 10 tables drawn in and requesting from the first minutes of the show.

This crowd was ready sing and especially to DANCE! Classic rock and disco ruled the night. I have to shout out Brenda; we were told she used to dance on MTV in the 80s, and her Tina Turner and disco moves, in stiletto heels, were definitely the night's highlights.
