Gig Score from player (1-5)2

To clarify, the gig itself was a 4, the audience seemed to like our show, they requested a lot of song and the dance floor was packed most every song. The main issue about this gig was it was extremely inconvenient and that's why I'm giving this gig a rating of 2. I would have given this a 1 rating but the gig itself was good. Load in was fairly difficult but not too bad because they had wagons to haul our gear and no stairs to deal with.

What was bad was there were 4 areas of the venue where a speaker was needed to be set up. The reception area, where two speakers and my main board were used, and then one speaker and small mixing board were needed in the ceremony area, the cocktail hour area and the dinner area which were all about 40 yards apart from each other. The set up would been extremely difficult if we had only 2 speakers and two mixing boards. We needed 4 speakers and 4 mixing boards for this gig.

Fortunately I have another pair of speakers and 2 other mixing boards but I needed to go back to my place to get them. Fortunately, I live about 10 minutes away from the venue. If I had lived further away we would have been stuck having to use just two speakers and two mixing boards for this event and set-up would have been much worse. Kevin was all over the place making sure to take care of the recorded music for each portion of the event. I helped out Kevin with setting up the speakers and taking down the speakers in the 4 areas of the event. On top of that, this event was outside and it was very humid so that just made the evening more aggravating. The gig itself was the easiest part of the evening and by far the most enjoyable. I've played a lot of weddings and this one was much more involved than most but I believe we did well and accomplished what needed to be done. Kevin was outstanding, managing this time consuming endeavor.
