Manage Handwrytten Notes

The wedding was at Botannica, a large outdoor gardens in Wichita. The staff there helped me get to the best entrance and showed me the way around, and load in was a snap after that.

We also met with Jessica the wedding planner during load-in, and coordinated the evening's timeline.

Kate and Clay are both super nice and laid back. They had a small guestlist and an easy event schedule, with only one speech and a recorded first dance before the show.

Some of the crowd was still enjoying the outdoor games in the private garden before sunset, but audience participation really picked up after dark. We still had a lot of dancing from individual tables, with a terrific grandfather-toddler dance to the early request "Earth Angel".

There was lots of dancing and participation in the second half of the piano show, with the bride and groom's special requests of "Thunderstruck" and Garth Brook's "Shameless" being the highlights.
