Last weekend, Mike Sherman and I made our way up to Milwaukee, WI to pay a visit to the Harley Davidson Museum! IEWC (a cable and wire distributor) decided to do something a little more fun and interesting for their holiday party this year, by not only picking an AWESOME venue, but by hiring Felix and Fingers for the entertainment as well! You should of seen the leather motorbike jackets people came dressed in, there’s no way of forgetting this experience. There was so much cool stuff going on, we had our work cut out for us trying to be the coolest thing in that room 😉
Harley Davidson: Round Two
As it turns out, Jim and I had actually played at an event hosted by Rockford, IL’s Kegel Harley Davidson dealership within the last year! I mentioned it to the staff at the museum, and not only did they know about that dealership specifically, they knew about their inventory! It was pretty cool to know the staff was not only friendly, but fully invested in what they do.
A Dueling Pianos Difference
IEWC mentioned that they’d done something completely different for their holiday party last year, so they were excited to be switching it up a bit. What a way to switch up a holiday party! The Harley Davidson Museum has a huge banquet hall, (perfect for events like this!) a cafe, and of course TONS to look at! At Felix and Fingers, we always have a blast with unexpected requests, fun games with the clients, and other surprises, but this time we also had a blast just exploring the venue! Most of the time, guests ought to be very careful around all the nice motorcycles on display, because they’re very expensive. At the Harley Davidson Museum though, they had two set up right there in the banquet hall just for that purpose!! You’d better believe Mike and I took advantage of that!!
There’s definitely a lot to see if you’re going to make a trip to Milwaukee, but if you’ve got an extra hour or so to kill, the Harley Davidson Museum is worth the stop!! Even for someone who knows basically nothing about motorcycles (okay, okay… it’s me…) I still found it super interesting and very cool!! The staff is so friendly and are the type of folks who love to talk about what they do, they make even the motorcycle novice feel right at home 🙂
