Downtown Lake Geneva, Wisconsin was the location for this beautiful Maxwell Mansion Vintage Wedding. Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos was proud to play at this exquisite venue and play for such a great couple. Congratulations Ashley and Erik! What a wonderful day it was.
Maxwell Mansion Vintage Wedding
As soon as you arrive at the Maxwell Mansion, you feel as if you have stepped back in time. This fine property is perfect for even the most upscale of weddings. It exudes elegance, charm, and old world sophistication. We began out back in the charming garden for the ceremony. Next we headed into the apothecary bar for cocktails. Dinner took place in a large and very comfortable tent located in the front of the mansion. And finally, dancing was in the parlor. The staff expertly directed everyone to each location and made sure everyone was having a wonderful time.
Maxwell Mansion dates from 1856 and will give you a look into true Gilded Age living. We really can’t say enough about the beauty of this historic property. It has so much to offer. Weather permitting, it can comfortably host up to 120 guests. The ballroom will seat 40 for a sit down dinner. So while this may not be the largest of venues, it is decidedly one of the most elegant and sophisticated locations we have seen. We strongly encourage you to click here and view their fabulous photos. You will be thoroughly impressed.
Break Dancing and Twerking at its Finest
Felix and Fingers Dueling Piano performers have seen quite a bit of break dancing throughout our years of providing the finest in wedding entertainment. But we’ve never seen it from a one year old. Truly, this little guy was pretty amazing. We see great things in his future. We always think we’ve seen it all, but there is always something new to surprise us. Besides break dancing, we’ve seen some pretty good twerking too. One of the bridesmaids insisted on hearing Get Low by Lil John. When we finally played it, she twerked to the entire song. We were tiring out just watching that one. You should have seen the look on the groomsmen’s faces. They seemed to be pretty impressed as well.
We had some wonderful requests from this group. Pink’s Get the Party Started really did get this one started. Bryan Adams made an appearance with (Everything I Do) I Do It For You. Another romantic song that had couples swaying softly while gazing into each other’s eyes was Unchained Melody from the Righteous Brothers. But then it was time to heat things up again with songs like Prince’s 1999 and AC/DC’s You Shook Me All NIght Long. All in all, this group had some great requests that kept everyone on the dance floor and we loved every minute of it.
