Hawks Mill Winery Wedding Venue
You can find the Hawks Mill Winery in Browntown, Wisconsin. It is a beautiful destination overlooking rolling fields and will make a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding photos. Devon and Julia decided to have their ceremony on a hill within sight of the outdoor pavilion they chose for the reception. It worked very well as both sites were so complimentary. Hawks Mill seats only small numbers inside so for a larger party, you will need to utilize the outdoors. While there’s always a chance that Mother Nature won’t cooperate, we think this might be the perfect setting to begin your life together. The grounds and scenery are just gorgeous. Artistry Abounds
Our bride and groom are both artists and many of their colleagues helped them out with wedding decor. Everything from the place mats to the flowers were crafted for their big day with love. And each guest had a special take home piece of art as well. Both the bride and groom hand painted wine glasses for their friends and family to use at the wedding and then take as a parting gift. They were quite lovely and we’re sure their guests will cherish them for years to come.
Food Trucks and Favorite Songs
Our couple chose to go casual with their dinner selection. A variety of food trucks pulled up next to the pavilion and guests could choose whatever they liked. There were some awesome choices and we couldn’t stick to just one food truck. No way! Not with all the delicious choices. Thank goodness it was time for us to play or we might have never stopped eating it was all so good.
As soon as we began to play, we knew this was going to be a fun group who would not need any encouragement to hit the dance floor. We played almost continuously for two solid hours and followed with a DJ portion of the evening. This group was on their feet dancing the entire time. They really enjoyed 90’s music. Mr. Brightside by The Killers had the entire dance floor singing along as did The Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony. A couple of people came up to us afterwards and told us they were so worn out because with us playing, they never wanted to leave the dance floor. That’s a great compliment to hear. We finished the night by awarding a trophy to the top dancer of the night. This trophy was from the bride’s parents but we were in charge of making the ultimate decision. It was tough but we’re sure we picked the right one.
