Felix and Fingers had a great time performing at The Fields Reserve wedding on a beautiful Fall day in mid-October. Our client’s Chelsea and Dustin held their amazing ceremony and reception at this brand new venue located in the heart of Dane County, Wisconsin. Congratulations Chelsea and Dustin!
The Fields Reserve Wedding Stoughton
The Fields Reserve is a newly built event barn catering to weddings and receptions. Chelsea and Dustin had luck on their side with gorgeous upper 70’s weather for their outdoor ceremony. Fall colors surrounded the bride and groom as they exchanged vows under a beautiful wood pergola. Not only is The Fields Reserve a rustic and romantic event barn but it’s also minutes from Madison, Wisconsin. If you’re interested in a property viewing at The Fields Reserve please click here.
Felix and Fingers were ready and waiting for guests to walk over to the reception barn after the ceremony. Our performers for this evening were Nicky and Mike. Guest enjoyed cocktails and Hors d’oeuvres on the covered patio directly off the barn. Nicky and Mike played a great set of instrumental music during this time allowing everyone to settle in and find their tables. Moreover, vintage chandeliers gave a warm glow to the spruce walls and exposed wood trusses inside this amazing reception barn.
Dice Games and Food Trucks
Food trucks were the highlight of the evening at The Fields Reserve wedding! As a matter of fact, food trucks are quite the hype at weddings these days offering a variety of fun and flavor to the usual formal dinners. Guests enjoyed yummy potato mix-ups, grilled meats and pizza by the slice from Pots n Tots, Good Eats and Street-Za. Nicky and Mike knew the groom loved Michael Jackson, hence making sure to start the evening with some top hits. Songs such as Billie Jean, Thriller and Beat It were no stranger to Dustin. He performed every dance move and sang every lyric to each song we played! We kept the dance floor packed all night long!
There were no clinking glasses having the bride and groom kiss at The Fields Reserve wedding. Chelsea and Dustin wanted to switch it up and set up a fun dice game on a whiskey barrel for their smooching requests. For example, 2 large inflatable dice were available to roll for numbers. Depending on the number rolled, an action would happen such as 9 meant the bride and groom would kiss. Another number such as 5 brought on wedding advice and 7 meant quote a movie. We closed out the wedding playing a few country songs such as Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean. The crowd was fun and wild!
