Lake Lawn Resort Shoreline
Felix and Fingers pulled in to another wedding on August 8th at the Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan, Wisconsin. Nothing out of the ordinary until we got closer to the venue and realized the view we would be enjoying for the rest of the evening. For this particular wedding, we were scheduled to play for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner, dueling pianos, and DJing the latter portion of the night. It’s always nice when you’re going to be somewhere a while, that the somewhere in question is an awesome resort. Like I mentioned before, the view of the lake was stunning, and the bride and groom took full advantage by having their ceremony a mere ten feet away from the shoreline.
After a beautiful ceremony, it was onto cocktails outside the elegant patio near the reception hall entrance. I personally love when cocktails are served outside (when it’s not winter in Chicagoland). What can beat a little Sinatra playing in the background, a couple of well-stocked mini-bars on the open patio, and a marriage to celebrate!

A Delavan View to Remember
Reception halls don’t necessarily need a view per se if it’s a great room, but it’s certainly a plus when they do. As guests walked into the Lake Lawn Resort banquet hall, the beautiful open panel windows made it seem like we’d never come inside to begin with! Before long, everyone was up on their feet cheering for the bride and groom as they made their entrance to the reception through the double doors. Introductions are usually the first indicator as to what kind of party it’s going to be. It’s easy to tell we’re in for a great night when we can hardly quiet down the crowd to announce dinner as the bridal party is dancing down the aisle to find their seats while the music fades out.
And what a great party it was! We had a full dance floor the entire night, the bride and groom were having the time of their life, and we were more than glad to be a part of it.
