Rustic elegance is how we would describe the decor at the Bennett Barn wedding venue. The property originally became a wedding venue when the owner’s own daughter wanted to use the rundown barn on their property for her wedding. After a lot of hard work, it was eventually ready to host a large group of 300. Next, the requests started to come in from others who wanted to host their weddings there and the now popular wedding space was born. And we’re so glad it came to be. Inside Jokes and Backyard Games
After some great backyard games like bags and horseshoes, it was time to get the dance floor rocking. We thought something was up when the groomsmen were requesting Stay by Lisa Loeb and White Houses by Vanessa Carlton. Both good songs, but not usually requested by our male guests. Apparently, this was an inside joke from their younger years and it was pretty hilarious watching all of their moves and lip-syncing. The bride and groom also wanted to hear a great classic Post Modern Jukebox selection during cocktails and dinner. We never become bored with the requests we receive because they are always so varied and interesting. Of course there are always the favorites that we seem to play at almost every wedding. But even those never lose their appeal since we love seeing everyone have such a great time.
