Felix and Fingers straightened their cowboy hats and headed out for the Camp Lucy wedding event in Dripping Springs, Texas. “Don’t Mess with Texas” took on a new meaning when everyone arrived at Camp Lucy. This premier country ranch is tucked away in a hillside on a bluff overlooking the famous Creek Road. Congratulations Claire and Robert on your special day!
Camp Lucy Wedding Event Ian’s Chapel
From the moment Felix and Fingers arrived at the Camp Lucy wedding event they felt welcomed. Our performers for this event were Mike Scott and Mike Potts. Claire and Robert exchanged vows inside Ian’s Chapel, one of four incredible venues inside Camp Lucy. During the ceremony, Felix and Fingers played a beautiful instrumental inside a restored 19th century French Colonial chapel. The chapel had an antique bell brought over from Vietnam and sounded amazing ringing after the ceremony. If you would like to hold your next special event at Camp Lucy please click here.
An Evening to Remember
In addition to rich landscaping and mature trees, it was actually nice to find out Camp Lucy is a green-friendly venue with re-purposed and recycled buildings and materials. Guests dined on an amazing classic dinner created by acclaimed chef Rob McMahon in the majestic Events Hall. The Events Hall was notably created from a re-purposed 1800’s Amish barn without nails, the Amish used incredible peg construction instead. The adjacent open-air Pavilion was just as stunning. In fact, the Ludowici tile roof re-purposed from the Bexar County courthouse in downtown San Antonio was breathtaking.
Claire and Robert decorated the Event Hall with real vines hanging from cast iron, candle like chandeliers. Moreover, a huge dance floor in the center of the room was waiting for some fun dance moves. To start with, this was Felix and Finger’s first time as performers singing Forgot about Dre by Dr. Dre featuring vocals from Eminem. The crowd went wild!
Claire and Robert made sure there were some special surprises at the Camp Lucy wedding event. There was a live painter in the back of the room who painted the event in an amazing tableau. Due to the fact late night snacks were running late, Felix and Fingers performed a late night version of The Real Slim Shady by Eminem to hold the crowd over. As a matter of fact, this was the groom’s favorite song!
Above all, when Whataburger arrived for late night snacks, they put every other burger chain in the world to shame. Their signature spicy ketchup was a hit. As a final point, Felix and Fingers ended the night by standing on their pianos singing Piano Man by Billy Joel and American Pie by Don McLean. Everyone went wild with this memorable send off!
