Imagine a night under the stars, the air filled with laughter, music, and the joyous shouts of hundreds of campers. This was the scene at the recent Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos event at Camp Equinox and Blue Ridge in the beautiful Poconos region.
An Unforgettable Night of Music and Fun
The evening was a delightful blend of music, dance, and camaraderie. Boys and girls of all ages, including the counselors, were highly engaged throughout the show. The Sweet Caroline Sing Off was a particular highlight, with every camper belting out the lyrics with gusto.
A Camp-wide Sing-along and Dance Off
When the first notes of “Shallow” filled the air, every girl put on their best Lady Gaga voice and sang so loud you could hear it from space. The energy was infectious, and the Hokey Pokey Dance off competition was a
sight to behold. Campers really shook it all about, their laughter echoing through the campgrounds.
A Heartwarming Finale
The most touching moment of the night came when the camp’s theme song, “Thunder Road,” began to play. Every camper stood up, wrapped their arms around each other, and sang with all of their hearts. The bond between the campers was palpable, a testament to the magic of Camp Equinox and Blue Ridge.
The night ended with about 200 people in a kick line, dancing to our rendition of “New York, New York.” It was a sight to behold, a perfect ending to a perfect night.
