Springfield Ohio Elks Lodge welcomed Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos to entertain their members and guests in a beautiful outdoor setting. It was clear from the get-go that this was bound to be a memorable event!
The Elks Lodge
My understanding is the the Elks purchased an old country club and transformed it into their own private party venue. They had renovated the lower level into a very hip bar that spilled out onto the perfect patio for hosting events. F&F were set up outside. Our audience: 150 people packed into the space under the pavilion.
Springfield OH
Mike S was particularly excited for this show because the majority of his family lives in OH. He has somewhere around 50 sisters…or so it seems. Seeing as many of our shows are closer to the chicago area, this elks lodge event was one of the few his family could attend. Some of the sisters served as our “managers” and helped with set up/tear down and Mike S was still recovering from a broken ankle.
Show fit for an Elks Lodge
These people could party. I knew this from the moment one of the guests starting forcing some cheep beer on me. In Chicago we have Old Style, Springfield has a brand that I thankfully forgot. But beer aside, the crowd was involved from the first song. They laughed at all out jokes (the beer helped), danced, and even sang “Alice” at the top of their lungs. Why? Because the board president was named Alice.
If you’re unfamiliar with Smokie’s “Alice”, consider yourself one of the lucky ones.
The Ohio Tour
Let me point out that in F&F, Tour means two-er. As in two consecutive out of town events. If we have three, we’re suddenly on a three-er. Get it? It’s funny.
The Elks Lodge Show was the first of two, followed by a beautiful wedding in east Ohio. “tour’s” are great in that sometimes they allow us to offer discounted rates, especially on off days.
If you’re looking to book Felix and Fingers for a public event or club event like the Elks Lodge of springfield, ask about our other bookings. You might just get lucky!
