Whether you’re searching for games, singing or just plain fun, check out our Dickinson State University college event. It was a BLAST! Representing Felix and Fingers for this high-energy, Dickinson, North Dakota party were our very own Jim Gritschke and John Li. Not only did Felix make great new friends by the end of our show, but everyone went home happy!
Dickinson State University College Event North Dakota
Felix and Fingers were SO EXCITED to receive a call asking us to perform at the Dickinson State University College event. We knew this was going to be a great gig. It’s always a pleasure performing for students and faculty. Even during these trying COVID times, Felix brings smiles and laughter to their audience. Arriving at Dickinson State University, we quickly found the student center. Everyone at this university is super friendly. Our room was the perfect size for an all-ages dueling piano show. Guests were spaced out properly and the university did a wonderful job of complying with COVID regulations. If you would like further information on Dickinson State University please click here.
Since COVID rules have altered social gathering, Felix and Fingers made sure everyone still had a great night. There were about 40-50 students sitting at tables spaced out in a very generous sized room. They all had different musical preferences which made this evening super fun. From 90’s grunge to Broadway, this was, in all honesty, a super fun crowd. Furthermore, the University President was in attendance and was laughing pretty hard at our jokes. A well-rounded night indeed!
Theme Songs and Drinking Games
It wouldn’t be a college event without drinking games. Every time Felix ripped into the theme from Cheers, our crowd held up their drinks and yelled WOO!! Since this was a university party, water was the libation of choice for the evening. Jim and John had so much fun entertaining this fun-loving group all night long. It wouldn’t be an interactive show if we didn’t bring a few tricks up our sleeve to this college event. For example, two students social distance sat (or stood) when we sang a song beginning with the letter B. Those songs were My Bonnie by Tony Sheridan, Baby Got Back by Sir-Mix-a-Lot and the Chili’s Baby Back Ribs Theme.
Felix was able to bring up a faculty member and his better half to play our L-O-V-E game. Laughter filled the room as our guests created words (6 foot apart) with their arms and legs. A definite highlight to our super fun night! As our performers packed up, guests stopped by with tons of compliments on how they loved our show. Another successful gig in our books!
