And we’re back! Maybe it’s a bit late for this, but being our first newsletter of 2014 – Happy New Year! Happy Valentine’s Day as well <3
There has been a lot in the works since the last newsletter! Now that it’s 2014, we can officially announce that Felix and Fingers have won both “Best of The Knot” and WeddingWire’s “Couples’ Choice” awards for 2014. F&F is the only dueling piano group in the country to have won either of these awards…and we won them both! We’re geared up for what is already scheduled to be our busiest wedding season yet!
In light of the awards, F&F is trying to offer a few more resources to our brides/grooms via our blog. More often than not, brides are looking for music suggestions, so we’re in the process of releasing a blog series to answer these questions. Here’s the first post! Check back often for updates with new suggestions, tips, and Spotify playlists, all designed to help you find the perfect music 🙂
We’re also pleased to announce that beginning this year, Felix and Fingers is now a Sennheiser Partner! Sennheiser is one of the largest and most respected microphone manufacturers in the world, and now they provide all the mics for F&F! We kicked off 2014 with a brand new line up of wireless mics and have been absolutely loving them. We are looking forward to this developing partnership.
A few weeks ago the entire company came together to exhibit at the ORT Showcase at the Marriott Lincolnshire. The ORT Showcase, primarily designed for Mitzvahs, weddings, and event planners, was an absolute blast. Remember F&F do all types of events, especially Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs. Be sure to catch one of our upcoming public shows if you can. Along with our usual shows at Blackthorn Grille, Beelows, and The PourHouse, we’re also starting a string of public shows with some new clients. This Friday will be our debut at Bolingbrook Golf Club, followed by a debut performance Saturday at Par-A-Dice Casino (shown in the background picture) in East Peoria!
Felix and Fingers is also garnering attention world wide. We currently have an April booking in Orlando, FL, and have been in discussions to send players to Hong Kong and on various cruise lines. Have pianos, will travel!
And finally, Fingers put a ring on it (last summer) and is getting married March 15th! He’ll be out of the office March 15th through March 25th, but he’ll have his right hand man handling the emails – please plan accordingly.
