When it comes to the 10,000-hour rule, country/pop artist Rory John Zak has that box checked and then some. Born and raised in North Carolina, Rory demonstrated from a young age a gift for piano, sparking a lifelong love of music. Rory went on to develop into a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist winning talent competitions and performing weekly as a solo artist and band frontman while still in high school. That popularity garnered the attention of The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach and by the age of 17, he became the youngest full-time cast member in their 36-year history performing 6 nights a week before stepping down at age 21 to pursue a career as a solo artist.
Frequent trips to Nashville throughout the years also led to friendships and collaborations with songwriters and industry veterans who took notice of the young man with the big smile and personality to match. Rory continues to work, write and perform across the Southeast, as well as internationally for our U.S. troops overseas at military bases around the world.
