Happy Spring everyone! The weather is changing and that means one thing – Dueling Piano Parties! We’re thrilled for the upcoming season and excited to share our updates and event tips.
Mini Shells are HERE!
The last newsletter foretold the coming of our mini pianos shells, and alas, they have arrived! What are mini shells? We thought you’d never ask…
The F&F teams now have portable miniature piano shells. Unlike the full 6′ shells (also still available), these shells are only 2.5′ long and require almost no extra space.
Oh, and they’re 70% less expensive than the full shells!
Shells dress up the appearance and can be added to contracts at any time. Send us an email to find out more!
Meet Mary, The Intern!
Did you know F&F now offers internships? We’ve recently completed an application process (we had 40 applicants…or, appli-CANs!) and found the perfect addition to our team. Mary will develop our social media platforms, be sure to follow our pages to keep up on all the great developments.
Event Tip Of The Month
No matter the type of event you’re hosting, there’s one often disregarded aspect…lighting.
Before the event begins, familiarize yourself with the light switches and how to operate them. Nothing prevents a party from becoming great quite like bright white lights. Dim those puppies down!
Guests can’t relax in bright lighting. Whether they are singing, dancing, conversing, or drinking, guests respond better to low lit environments. Furthermore this helps bring out the colored lighting the band provides.
F&F supplies lighting for every engagement (standard in our contracts), but if you’re looking for a little extra effect, consider adding uplights. Check out the picture below to see the difference – bang for buck, it’s probably the best option we offer! Or if you want to go the extra mile, hire a professional lighting company. Lighting can alter a guest’s experience in a way no other item of your event can. What a bright idea! (sorry…just trying to keep things light).
Public Venues
We’re still playing and loving our public venues, and especially now that the weather is changing, we encourage you to drop in any time. We have steady bookings with The Broken Oar, Durty Nellies, Roscoes, Potter’s Place and Mike Ditka’s. Dates are always posted on the website and our facebook page.
Spring has sprung and F&F is having their best year yet! Thank you for being our supporters/clients and be sure to strike up conversations with us online or at our shows – we love to hear from you! Happy Spring!
