Felix and Fingers brought inspiration and excitement to the Churdan Park Betterment Fundraiser. To begin with, our performers Greg Percifield and Sam Parrish drove out to 209 Main Bar and Grill located in Paton, Iowa. This was indeed an impressive venue for a town of about 250 residents!
Churdan Park Betterment Fundraiser Paton Iowa
This was Samuel Parrish’s first time playing with our very own Greg Percifield. Not only did they click from the start, but these guys performed an AMAZING show! The Churdan Park Betterment Fundraiser crowd was LIVELY. Felix and Fingers had such a FUN time with everyone.
209 Main restaurant helped everyone experience the excitement at their amazing venue. We highly recommend stopping by and checking out this premier business class restaurant. Their newly constructed, all steel building is located conveniently off Highway 30. Furthermore, this superb restaurant offers delicious cuisine and a fabulous atmosphere. The Churdan Park Betterment Fundraiser included a concert, silent auction and meal with proceeds going towards the Churdan City Park improvement project. As soon as doors opened the fun began. Our performers had everyone enjoying cocktail hour by playing songs such as Don’t Know Why by Norah Jones. There were a few requests for Frank Sinatra. The dance floor filled up fast when we played Come Fly With Me!
Dancing Singing and Silent Auctions
Did we mention this was a VERY interactive audience? During dinner, guests actually stopped what they were doing and danced to our jazz tunes. Everyone loved our music. We had a TON of FUN helping out with the silent auction. It was GREAT announcing winners. We even had some roasts for guests celebrating birthdays. Our audience really got into it!
Our contact wanted to extend our playing time and we were more than happy to oblige. Therefore, we played the LOVE game. This is where guests make the letters L-O-V-E with their arms and body. Almost everyone attending the Churdan Park Betterment Fundraiser basically knew each other so it was pretty hilarious.
On the other hand, there were a FEW guests from out-of-town. We made sure by the end of the night everyone knew each other! Because our contact enjoyed our overtime so much we played a few additional encore songs. Between I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston and (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life by Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes everyone went home HAPPY!
