I normally don’t bring up ‘competition.’ It’s just not necessary. What’s the point of comparing apples to oranges? So why bring it up now? Actually, I’m not. I don’t think St. Louis offers a whole lot in dueling pianos entertainment. Yes, I know that it is the newest location for Howl at the Moon. Obviously, there is a gap to be filled; but not only for Howl, but for a dueling piano alternative to Howl, as well. Felix and Fingers is not just a traveling Dueling Piano group. We’re so much more. Allow me to explain. 🙂
Hyatt Regency at the Arch Wedding
Not too long ago, Felix and Fingers was hired to perform for a wedding at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch in St. Louis. Wait. Did I just say ‘perform?’ That may have been a limiting choice of words, as we do so much more.
Before I tell you about it, let me first say that I’m not writing to bash Howl at the Moon. They are at the top of what they do. And I have enjoyed going to their locations to listen to fun performances on several occasions. They have well-trained players, and they are always current with music. However, there is a reason why I believe Felix and Fingers is the perfect choice for you. Our skill sets and experience are specifically designed around corporate entertainment and weddings. Our moveable equipment is geared towards such events at venues such as the Hyatt Regency at the Arch. This has been our specific area of expertise for quite a long time.
When we were recently asked about how we could handle an approximate crowd of 400 people at a wedding in one of the largest ballrooms of the Hyatt Regency, there were no hesitations on our part to provide the exact answers that any bride or groom could hope to hear.
Can we emcee? Check! We have years of experience and training to handle all kinds of announcements. We make sure the bridal party is in correct formation. We bring them in with their requested music, and we announce like professionals. Whether we are dismissing tables for a buffet type dinner, making introductions, announcing a shuttle-bus, introducing guest speakers, or anything that is part of the wedding or corporate event, we take care of it and we are always on time.
Do we have sufficient equipment? Check! No venue is to large or small. We have professional gear for any sized venue. And I’m not just talking about speakers. From uplights, to lapel microphones for officiants, wireless microphones for speeches. Dance lights for the dance floor. Piano shells and more. It’s all available!
Can we get 400 people involved? Check! Felix and Fingers has a wealth of experience from carnivals to cruise ships, hotels to bars. There is not an unfamiliar setting for us. Whether we take a more intimate approach with the guests, or handle the audience as a group, we know what it takes to allow everyone to have a great time!
Can we DJ? Check! Undoubtedly dueling pianos are fun. We absolutely love working the crowd. We get them laughing, and we get them dancing. But our dueling piano performance is quite unique from that of a DJ, which is why we provide both.
Can you play Jazz for cocktails and dinner? Check! We are trained in jazz music. If you prefer nice jazz background music for cocktails and dinner or light modern music, we can provide live jazz music that is perfect for that time of the day or night.
How about the ceremony? Can you play classical music? Check! In fact, we are sometimes hired just to provide ceremony music. Our classically trained pianists will play whatever your song selection may be. Need a string quartet? We are prepared for anything? Just give us a call.
