Felix and Fingers returned to Jefferson City, Missouri excited to perform at The Millbottom wedding event. The Millbottom is located between Kansas City and St. Louis offering convenient highway access. This venue is a completely reclaimed and renovated historic building. We highly recommend The Millbottom for your next special event. Congratulations Jessica and Robert!
The Millbottom Wedding Event Jefferson City
Our performers for The Millbottom wedding event were James Gritschke and Greg Percifield. These guys performed at The Millbottom last year for Jessica’s friend’s wedding and everyone had a blast! However, there were some slight last minute schedule changes to The Millbottom wedding event. James and Greg had no problems accommodating these changes and everything worked out GREAT! The Millbottom is located just steps away from the historic Capitol Building. Hence, this is where Jessica and Robert had their wedding photographs taken prior to the reception.
After a beautiful ceremony at St. Peter’s church guests arrived at The Millbottom. To start with, Felix and Fingers played a composition of instrumental music at the reception while guests found their seats. This stunning event room welcomed everyone for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. There was a large set up of assorted and homemade flavored potato chips to snack on prior to dinner. Furthermore, guests had fun playing a giant Jenga game and Baggo outside during cocktails. If you would like to tour The Millbottom please click here.
Smirnoff Ice and a Wall of Donuts
Felix and Fingers had a fun time at The Millbottom wedding event, even more so because the staff recognized them from prior events. James and Greg had the pleasure of working with some of the friendliest staff at The Millbottom. Carla, the owner of YourEvents Company, was the day-of coordinator and was one of the nicest they’ve ever worked with. Dinner was a hit with an amazing catered 3 course meal served in tandem by smiling and friendly staff. After dinner, there was a WALL of donuts for dessert in addition to a gorgeous and delicious wedding cake.
Felix and Fingers could tell the crowd was indeed chomping at the bit to hit the dance floor. It didn’t take long for songs like Summer of 69 by Bryan Adams and Marry You by Bruno Mars to pack the floor. Felix and Fingers had a huge stage, so we set up our lights slightly in front of us. This put us in the spotlight more than usual, lighting up our tip jars for song requests.
As the night went on, the crowd went wild. We think we know why. For example, the head table was decorated with cold and assorted bottles of Smirnoff Ice. In all honesty, the newest trend at party events is for people to get “Iced”. This is when someone hands you a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, you take a knee and chug the whole bottle. To say nothing of the least, the bride and groom along with their wedding party were definitely “Iced”.
