The Capital Bluffs Rehearsal Dinner took Felix and Fingers to Jefferson City, Missouri in a round about way. Due to the recent flooding, we had some difficulty finding our location and had to take a few different routes. This showed us the damage caused by the flooding and it was humbling to see. We didn’t let that stop us from putting on a great show, however. No way!
Capital Bluffs Rehearsal Dinner
We loved this gorgeous venue! Set among nature, it is the perfect spot for a celebration. And this was definitely a celebration. It’s not often that we play for rehearsal dinners. We have had quite a few in our past but usually, we perform for the wedding. And when we do book a rehearsal dinner, 
it’s usually a lighter performance as the group is getting ready for the big event the next day. But not this group! Not only did we do a full on, high energy, interactive dueling piano show, we also had a full band including lead guitar, bass, drums, and a saxophone. It really rocked and was so much fun playing with a full band. Don’t forget the option of adding other instruments to your performance. It really kicks things up, that’s for sure.
Capital Bluffs Event Center was very accommodating and handled this group with ease. The decor is stunning with natural materials such as stone, wood, and metal. It all combines into a modern feel that is spacious, airy, and has an easy going vibe. The natural setting is just divine and your party will have a great view of the sunset. All Out Party
Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos brought it all out for this Capital Bluffs Rehearsal Dinner. It’s not often that we have a bass player accompany us. In addition to having a full band, the couple wanted us to use our full size piano shells. These really make a statement. Our mini shells are great for 
any occasion but if you want your show to really pop, ask us about our full size piano shells. Our favorite part of the night was performing Paradise by the Dashboard Lights by Meatloaf. This song is always a sure bet in convincing people to join in and start having fun. We continued the night with rocking songs like Led Zeppelin’s Good Times Bad Times and Tenth Avenue Freeze Out from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. That was a good one for the saxophone!
Towards the end of the night, everyone had been spending so much of their energy on the dance floor, they were starting to become hungry. No problem with that because our couple had arranged to have McDonald’s for a late night snack. Hmm, don’t mind if we do. Everyone was having so much fun that they didn’t want the night to end. Because of this, they extended our playing time by a half hour. We had no problem with that. All in all, it was a fantastic night and we’re not sure what type of energy this group had left for the next day’s big celebration.
