We’ve done quite a few backyard parties here at Felix and Fingers but this property steals the show! The Cottage Grove backyard wedding brought us to Minnesota to play for Justine and Erin’s big day!
Cottage Grove Backyard Wedding
These two were high school sweethearts and had been together for 17 years. Yes, 17 years! That’s longer than a lot of married people we know. So you can imagine how excited they were to finally exchange their vows. It was truly a special day. The ceremony and the reception took place on the property of Erin’s father. It was a beautiful yard to have a wedding. The setting, with its expansive grassy area and gorgeous trees, was just perfect.
Besides our entertainment, we have to say that our favorite part of this day was the “Gastrotruck.” This food truck serves locally sourced tacos that were out of this world. You could choose from brisket tacos, jerk chicken tacos, and even sweet potato tacos. Delicious! They have a lot more choices than tacos, however, so you might want to take a look at their website. It Doesn’t Get Better Than This
What a perfect day! Even before the ceremony, the guests were encouraged to have a cocktail. So we kind of knew it would be a fun crowd. Our brides added a truly special moment with a last minute decision to have a double 
father/daughter dance. They both like Bruno Mars so our performer Mike suggested Just the Way You Are. He performed it live while this touching scene brought tears to the eyes of many friends and family members. The highlight of the night, however, was when the bride’s sister sang Take Me or Leave Me from Rent. Singing along with Mike, she did a tremendous job. She was not the only family member with a starring role on this big day. The newly ordained cousin of one of our brides performed the ceremony. It’s always touching when close family members are involved.

We never have any trouble keeping the dance floor packed and this event was no exception. At this Cottage Grove Backyard Wedding, the crowd was on the dance floor all night long. It was so fun!
