Felix and Fingers recently headed to Alexandria, Minnesota to play for the beautiful Arrowwood Resort Wedding. What a spectacular day it was for our lovely bride and handsome groom, Melissa and Joe. We wish you both a lifetime of love and happiness.

Arrowwood Resort Wedding Venue

Before we even speak of the event itself, we must say a word or two about the entire Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center. This is a gorgeous property with exquisite lake views and just about everything you would need for a fantastic vacation. They offer hotel rooms, suites, cottages, and townhomes. There is wonderful dining and even an indoor waterpark. We didn’t Arrowwood Resort Wedding venuetry the waterpark, however, as we were busy setting up for the gorgeous Arrowwood Resort Wedding.

The banquet room was perfectly decorated and a wonderful size. The staff was beyond helpful. They helped us with power sources and made sure we had everything we needed, including our delicious dinner. We can’t say enough about how welcome they made us feel. But we’re not the important ones. It will be your guests that you want to take care of and we noticed the staff handling this group with professionalism, friendliness, and ease. Chilly Day, Warm Hearts

The Arrowwood Resort Wedding took place on a crisp and quite chilly day in October. With a temperature of only 35 degrees, we thought our couple might move the ceremony indoors. But not Melissa and Joe. And although cold, it was a beautiful Fall day. We were quite impressed at our bride who, in sleeveless dress and all, didn’t even shiver while saying her vows. When love is strong, the heart makes warm your soul. After a lovely, and thankfully quick, ceremony, it was time to head into the spacious, and warm, banquet room for a night of fun and celebration.

Center Stage Show

Arrowwood Resort Wedding partyNormally, we set our pianos up in a V formation, facing the dance floor. Our couple had asked us, however, to play from the center of the room with our pianos facing each other. Felix performers Jim and Greg quite enjoyed that set up and laughed about having to gaze into each other’s eyes all night. There were a ton of little ones at this wedding which was super fun. We made sure to play a lot of games with them including musical chairs (a first for us) and our famous L.O.V.E. game. The kids weren’t shy about giving us their requests either. We played them all, even the well-loved (and dreaded) Baby Shark.

Due to social distancing requirements, this became more like one of our theater style shows. When pandemic limits dancing, not to worry. We know exactly how to show your guests the time of their lives. We threw in a ton more jokes, parodies, mashups, and games that had everyone laughing and singing along. The little ones especially enjoyed our Disney medley. We slowed it down a bit towards the end to give our bride and groom some time to slow dance. With Ed Sheeran’s Perfect playing, they looked liked the happiest couple ever.
