Napoleon House Wedding Event New Orleans Louisiana
To begin with, the Napoleon House wedding event was held in one of the most famous bars in America. This building gets it’s name by offering Napoleon refuge residence during his exile in 1821. How cool is that? This venue will suspend you in time. Sit back and relax to Beethoven’s Eroiqua (composed for Napoleon) while sipping a Pimm’s cup and be surrounded by an ambiance only the French Quarter can bring. Olivia and Ryan exchanged loving vows during their ceremony. During cocktail hour, Nathan and Will played a mix of jazz standards, soul and classic music. The whole room immediately filled with voices singing along. Hurricanes flowed while grilled oysters made their rounds. Our performers played songs such as Basin Street Blues by Sydney Bechet. Everyone had a GREAT time!
King Cake Craziness and Tons of Singing
As soon as guests started their meal, Felix and Fingers played a variety of songs such as Gladiolus Rag by Roy Eaton to celebrate the musical history of New Orleans. Hence, the room immediately filled with spectators and requests started rolling in. Furthermore, guests near our pianos started to sing to every song we played. It was AWESOME. The catered food was absolutely delicious. Our fondest memories of the Napoleon House wedding event will revolve around their New Orleans cuisine.
Felix and Fingers took a break while the bride and groom cut their King Cake. During this time, the bride SMASHED her groom’s face with a HEFTY slice of cake. Olivia then threatened his life not to do the same thing to her. That’s LOVE! We resumed our show right after this FUN moment and everyone packed the dance floor. We had a BLAST singing requests spanning from Elton John’s Bennie and The Jet’s to an Eminem Best Hit’s medley. The Second Line Band that led the wedding party down the street after the reception was our favorite part of the night!

In conclusion, Felix and Fingers had the time of their life performing for the Napoleon House wedding event. In fact, everyone stayed an hour after the bar closed to dance and sing to our show. We even played a few oldies such as Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley & His Comets. The senior circle was twisting and turning the entire hour. It was EPIC!
