Kate and Jake’s Chateau LeMoyne French Quarter wedding is one Felix and Fingers will never forget. This wedding was full of fun, laughter and romance – exactly how every New Orleans wedding should be. Congratulations Kate and Jake, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Chateau LeMoyne French Quarter Wedding New Orleans
Since New Orleans is the birth place of Dueling Pianos, it only made sense to have a wedding with Felix and Fingers entertainment. Our performer for The Big Easy event was our amazing Jim Gritschke. Not only does Jim take pride in being a professional musician, but he shows this gift with his incredible character.
Kate and Jake kept their wedding stress-free by choosing the gorgeous Chateau LeMoyne as their venue. Moreover, this boutique hotel allowed focus on creating an intimate event that popped with romantic memories. The Chateau LeMoyne is located in the core of the French Quarter and is seeped in history. In addition to the architecture and modern sophistication, guests also enjoyed the intimate courtyard. French Quarter Second Line and Cajun Cuisine
In New Orleans, they celebrate nearly every occasion with a second-line parade. Rather than having a cocktail hour, the bridal party left the venue to perform a second-line. This fun walk around the French Quarter consists of the wedding party and anyone else who wishes to join. The married couple danced with fancy parasols, while the rest of the wedding party waved hankies in the air. As a matter of fact, the entire wedding party hit quite a few bars before returning for dinner. Everyone had an AMAZING time!
There was an old world charm to the Chateau LeMoyne French Quarter wedding. To start with, the delicious dinner and dessert buffet truly made it feel like an upscale dinner garden party. Our performer made sure to keep the background music light and jazzy so guests could mingle and chat. Songs such as It’s You I Love by Fats Domino and It Had To Be You by Harry Connick, Jr. brought NOLA ambiance to dinner. In all honesty, the food in the Big Easy rivals all other big culinary cities. James couldn’t get enough of the fried catfish, Cajun pasta and smoked pork. Mouthwatering to say the least!
Party in the Courtyard
One of the most important details at your special event is timing. Each member of the Chateau LeMoyne French Quarter wedding executed every request in a timely fashion and accommodated everyone’s needs. From the catering manager on duty, to the valet out front, everyone helped make the reception a successful event. Eventually, guests moved into the courtyard where New Orleans charm continued into the evening. What can be more breathtaking than a candle lit, private garden courtyard drenched in natural greenery?
Above all, we captured the spirit with requests such as That Old Black Magic by Louis Prima and Keely Smith and Chapel of Love by The Dixie Cups. It wasn’t long before guests were enjoying an evening of dancing and singing. As the night wrapped up, Jim brought the house down, or rather had the house up and dancing to his high energy eclectic mix of Cajun and Zydeco. Felix and Fingers knows nothing beats closing out a New Orleans wedding with some wild bayou swamp pop!
