It was a wonderful holiday season here at Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos.  We had a great amount of holiday parties–mostly corporate but some private.  For the Texas Gas Holiday Party we headed down to the Owensboro Convention Center in Owensboro, Kentucky.  And what a great time we had in bourbon country.

Owensboro Convention Center

We hadn’t been to the Owensboro Convention Center in a couple of years and had kind of forgotten what a great space it is.  There are just beautiful views from every room.  And the staff was so helpful.  For example, when we were unloading our Texas Gas Holiday Party centerpieceequipment, the service elevator wasn’t functioning and one staff member ran–yes, ran–down a few flights of stairs to get it going.  That kind of assistance really helps keep our show running smoothly.  For the Texas Gas Holiday Party, the food was awesome.  It was a heavy hors d’œuvres buffet with delicious bites such as shrimp cocktail and mini cordon bleus.  Delicious!  Are you searching for an excellent party venue?  If so, please click here to view their website.  You will not be disappointed in this premium venue.  It’s top-notch all the way!

Texas Gas Holiday Party

Texas Gas Holiday Party dessertsWe greatly enjoyed our time performing for this corporate gig.  What a great group of employees!  They were having a blast requesting all of their favorites and we had a blast playing them.  Besides some holiday tunes, we found ourselves playing a ton of hits from the 70’s and 80’s.  ABBA’s 1976 Dancing Queen has never gone out of style.  Other 1970’s decade favorites included Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry and also a couple of hits from Saturday Night Fever.  My Sharona, a 1979 hit by The Knack brought us into the 80’s.  We had a couple of requests for Michael Jackson’s Beat It and Billie Jean.  We didn’t stay in the past, however, and made sure to play some recent favorites such as Mia by Bad Bunny featuring Drake.  Country tunes were also a hit with songs from Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.

All in all, it was a great night at the Texas Gas Holiday Party.  We loved all of the diverse requests and was also happy to return to the Owensboro Convention Center in Davies County, Kentucky.  What a great night!  And while our performer, Mike, usually makes it a point to not drink at our shows, he was in Kentucky.  So, after his performance, when someone offered him a bourbon, he just had to say “Yes!”  Click here to find out more about us and our great dueling piano shows.
