On May 22nd, Airport Road Vineyard & Winery hosted a fundraiser for the Mt. Pleasant, IA Chamber of Commerce, and Greg and I got to provide the entertainment! As if being a wonderful winery on a beautiful property wasn’t enough, it’s also owned and operated by one of the friendliest families I’ve ever met… the Henderson family! Who couldn’t love a name like that 😉

The FUNdraiser
(I can’t help myself. I love word puns.) We set up our piano shells on the patio facing a gorgeous event center which they’d opened up to face the vineyard. As the sun was setting and we were playing our background jazz, it was the perfect environment for guests to enjoy a glass of wine and get ready for the evening. By the time we started dueling, everyone was good and ready for a fun time, and we had a blast helping to give it to them!

The Henderson family was amazing in preparing for the fundraiser and making it run smoothly, but you’d better believe they do more than just fundraisers! As you can imagine with a venue so beautiful, they are seasoned professionals at hosting weddings. Wine and great backdrops for pictures seems like a recipe for a great wedding to me! But of course, they realized not everyone has a special event coming up, but would still want an excuse to enjoy what Airport Road Vineyard & Winery has to offer! They have special events going on all the time including wine & painting events, and everyone’s favorite, brunch! Best of all, if you want to customize your own event, you can rent out their 300 capacity event center (370 including the patio) which includes tables, chairs, wine & beer glasses and a bartender!
