To begin with, Penn Central Mall in Oskaloosa, Iowa was the PERFECT location for the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary fundraiser event. Our performers for this super successful show were Greg Percifield and Jim Gritschke. In fact, returning to Oskaloosa, IA was a treat for our performers as this is one friendly and helpful community. Felix kept everyone dancing and singing all night long. With top hits and tons of comedy we were the toast of Oskaloosa. Everyone had a BLAST!

Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary Fundraiser Event Oskaloosa Iowa

Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary Fundraiser EventMahaska Hospice is a repeat client of ours from 2 years ago. We helped raise TONS of money performing a show at The Celebration Barn. Mahaska was quite happy to have us back to help raise funds for hospice. This was also our second time playing in the middle atrium at Penn Central Mall.

Having played a holiday for MUSCO Lighting at this mall, we knew we were in for a treat! In fact, MUSCO Lighting actually sponsored and provided all the food for this fundraiser. A very supportive community indeed! Not only is the lighting GREAT at this mall, but our space to perform in was divine. We love the raised stage area and beautiful tropical plants placed next to the floor-to-ceiling windows. Everything was PERFECT. Cocktail hour was memorable. A woman guest requested I Shot the Sheriff by Bob Marley…and dedicated it to their small town sheriff. Hence, we played it nervously staring at the sheriff. Because we changed the words to the sheriff’s name and our audience sang along, this small town sheriff LOVED it! Felix and Fingers played top hits and golden oldies all night long. We had song requests pile up double time and played every single one of them. Dinner was DJ’d with soft background jazz. Our performers knew they were actually going to eat WELL at this event and in all honesty, dinner was amazing!

Fun Games, Packed Dance Floor and Tons of Singing

Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary Fundraiser EventAs guests enjoyed their meal, Greg and Jim had paddles raised with silent auction items galore. In addition to the silent auction and big ticket raffle items, Felix raised over $1,000 in tips from requests. We proudly donated 100% of our tips back to hospice. Felix and Fingers LOVE giving back to the community because FUNdraisers make us HAPPY.

Two couples came up to our pianos and played the L-O-V-E game. Spelling out the word LOVE with your body parts after open bar is fun. This crowd LOVED the couple’s great sense of humor. They were hilarious! On the other hand, our player Jim won an autographed picture of a Cubs pitcher. He was HAPPY. Greg decided to enjoy a free sample of their craft beer during this time. WIN-WIN at the Mahaska Hospice Auxiliary fundraiser event for all!

A few guests paid top dollar for us to stop playing a song. You guessed it…Baby Shark. Jim was KILLING it singing some hilarious voices representing different kinds of sharks that aren’t in the original. Greg actually wanted to hear the whole thing! In other words, Felix will make sure Jim brings that performance back. It was EPIC. In conclusion, it’s rare that we perform face-to-face dueling pianos, but we were in the middle of an atrium. So, our performers allowed for some comical turnaround and running with the mic. This engaged our crowd with super fun night. Everyone LOVED our show!
