The Hotel Blackhawk Davenport Wedding of Elizabeth and Scott was a joy for our performers. They had a blast playing for this awesome group and loved their taste in music. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Hotel Blackhawk Davenport Wedding
First, we have to talk about this venue. The Hotel Blackhawk in Davenport, Iowa is part of The Autograph Collection by Marriott. The antique architecture is just beautiful. The space, with its high arched ceiling and beautiful mirrored doors, is stunning. This location is perfect for any bride’s dream wedding day. You will find the service to be excellent. We always know we’ll be treated well when going to a Marriott property. In addition to a gorgeous venue and great service, you will also find the food to be of stellar quality. It was so delicious that it was hard to stop eating and start playing our songs. Please click here to go to this hotel’s website. You won’t regret taking a look at this great property.
All Kinds of Music
At the Hotel Blackhawk Davenport wedding, we played all kinds of music. One of the first requests of the night was for Bang, Bang featuring Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj. Our performer, Jennifer, was a bit nervous about this. First of all, she worried that it was too early in the evening for such a big song. Secondly, it had been a long time since she had played it and wasn’t sure how much she remembered. Well, she did NOT have to worry. She nailed the song and her partner, Duncan, did the rap part and the song became a highlight of the night. Jennifer was also happy to see a request for Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back to Me Now. We don’t get a request for that very often and Jennifer has special memories of that song as it reminds her of her mother. Jennifer felt that is was one of those magical performances where every requested song was one she knew extremely well. She is truly shaping up to be one of our top piano duelers.
This group had a diverse range of musical requests. We played everything from Brittany Spears and Nicki Minaj to Bobby Darin. Truly, we thought they were one of the hardest and longest partiers we have ever seen. Cocktails had started at 4:30 with some Motown music and this crowd was raging until 1 AM. And to beat that, there was even an after party where you could go bowling! What a marathon wedding party! Our bride and groom requested Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight as the last song of the evening. What a great moment it was when the last few party stragglers all had a group hug while singing it.
