The Hiawatha Parks and Recreation Department hired us to perform at this Guthridge Park Community Event. Hiawatha is in Iowa and we had a great time in this small town. Summertime always brings us a lot of outdoor shows and we just love them, mosquitoes and all.
Guthridge Park Community Event
Park districts are so important for our communities. Not only do they provide endless opportunities of things to do, but they 
also bring communities together with shows such as ours. Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos love summertime and all of the outdoor community performances. It’s great to see all the town folk having a great time and making memories. Because that’s what were all about–making memories that will last a lifetime. This event was in Guthridge Park which is a huge park complex with pavilions, a splash pad, baseball diamonds, and so much more. If you want to play a game of horse shoes, they have you covered. Tennis anyone? They have very nice tennis courts. With its paved walking trail and basket ball courts, you will not run out of things to do. Our favorite thing about Guthridge Park, however, is that they hired us for a great summer show.
Between a Dog and a Juggler
This was a day of performances at the Guthridge Park Community Event. We came on after a police dog demonstration and we were followed by a juggler. What a day it was! This crowd loved country music. They wanted to hear Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) by Big & Rich and Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now. We also had a couple of requests for Jason Aldean’s Big Green Tractor. That’s a fun one. We couldn’t forget about the young ones in attendance so we made sure to play a couple of Disney tunes. Those always go over very well with the little ones. All in all, it was a great day. But then came the mosquitoes. It had been very humid and at dusk, they came out like crazy. But don’t worry, we’ve dealt with just about everything here at Felix and Fingers and this wasn’t a first for us. As they say, “The show must go on!”
