Graham Conference Center Wedding Pella Iowa
Sometimes we forget to acknowledge the people behind the scenes who make all the fun happen: the event coordinators. From the ceremony to the beautiful reception party, Central College personally attended to every detail at the Graham Conference Center wedding. This allowed for the bride and groom (Lisa & Johnathan) to relax and enjoy their special day! Felix and Fingers were endlessly thankful to the friendly and helpful staff who helped with our equipment while always pointing us in the right direction.
Our performers for the Graham Conference Center wedding were Robert Deason and Jim Gritschke. To start with, setting up in the conference hall was a breeze and there was plenty of room to move about the spacious layout. Moreover, the conference center can hold up to 400 guests comfortably, boasting a large dance floor! If your are interested in holding your next event at the Graham Conference Center please click here. Furthermore, a talented event team did an amazing job decorating the conference center from top to bottom. Cocktail hour was all about tying together all the main events of Lisa and Johnathan’s special day. Guests mixed, mingled and relaxed while Felix and Fingers set a great vibe with songs such as Wonderful World by James Morrisson. The spinach artichoke dip and crab rangoon were SUPERB!
Long Distance Dancing
Transition from reception mode to party mode wasn’t that hard with our performers’ interactive show. As guests arrived at their tables, they were greeted with handmade flower arrangements and candlelight. During this time, a few lucky ones were called up on stage to play a game. Name That Tune is always a crowd pleasure because if the participant knows the tune, they have to sing it! One of the guys had a deep, low voice and his rendition of Let’s Get it On by Marin Gaye had the audience going nuts! After everyone was seated, Felix and Fingers played light background music from dinner through dessert. We had a chance to try the s’mores bar, it was delicious!
One way to engage your guests in dancing is to kick off your show with I Wanna Dance with Somebody by Whitney Houston. Our performers called out to the audience to grab the person next to them and get out on the floor! As the evening progressed, requests kept pouring in. There were family members at the Graham Conference Center wedding from the Netherlands that spoke only Dutch. To be honest, they knew a few popular American artists. In fact, it seemed Lady Gaga was their favorite. What could be more awesome than long distance relatives Dutch dancing to Paparazzi and Poker Face? Prior to finishing the show, our performers had everyone hold hands and form a ring of love around the bride and groom. Felix and Fingers played Billy Joel’s Piano Man while everyone swayed from side to side singing their hearts out.
