Jack and Karen tied their knot at the Joliet Event Center wedding celebration located in Dubuque, Iowa. It was a lovely day. Sunny with a slight breeze and fall still hanging in the air. The bride and groom had a blast with a few hundred of their friends at the Joliet Event Center. Felix and Fingers wish Karan and Jack a lifetime of love and happiness!

Joliet Event Center Wedding Celebration Dubuque Iowa

Joliet Event Center Wedding CelebrationWe must say that this Joliet Event Center wedding celebration was a fantastic time for all. The staff at this venue go above and beyond making sure everyone’s needs are taken care of. This place rocks every Friday night with a fish fry during lent. By the way, come and have some fun playing Bingo during the month of February! Not only is this building a performance and event venue, it’s historical in so many ways. This location is a great place for your reception with a convenient downtown Dubuque location. In fact, there are three floors to provide layout options for your next special event. The Joliet Event Center provides capacities for up to 330 people.

JUST before the reception (and father/daughter dance), the father of the bride decided to sing a song for his daughter. Felix instantly provided him with live accompaniment. Our performers for the Joliet Event Center wedding celebration were Chris Heroldt and Michael Sherman. They were more than happy to help provide a beautiful lifetime memory. We nailed the song without rehearsing it. The father sang a beautiful memory for his daughter. We thought that was the most wonderful sentimental moment of the Joliet Event Center wedding celebration.

Keeping it Old School While Handing Out Business Cards

Joliet Event Center Wedding CelebrationWe were told the bride and groom had a strict no pop music after 2010 rule, so we kept it old school and had enough guests on the floor to enjoy themselves following COVID restrictions. As some guests were dancing, others were enjoying an amazing station of popcorn and cookies. They even had Chicago style popcorn, even though we were in Iowa. All of these goodies were delicious beyond words, other than YUM.

Awesome song requests rolled in all night long. Our tip jar was overflowing with oldies but goodies. Chris Heroldt fulfilling Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon request? Check. Mike Sherman displaying rapping skills? Check. Everyone had a blast when the bride rapped Ice Ice Baby by Vanilla Ice. Not to be out done, the groom sang Courtesy of the Red White and Blue by Toby Keith. Both sounded AMAZING.

Above all, the bride and groom were both gracious hosts. Multiple thanks all night long from both Karan and Jack. By the end of our gig, many guests approached us asking for our business cards.  If you see us at an event, PLEASE come talk to us. Felix and Fingers would LOVE to play at your next special occasion!
