Felix and Fingers loves returning to our favorite venues! We were delighted to find out we had another booking for the Hotel Julien in Dubuque, Iowa. The Hotel Julien Wedding Reception of Alyssa and David was a super special night and we wish our couple the very best.
Hotel Julien Wedding Reception Venue
As stated above, it was not our first time at the lovely Hotel Julien. We can’t say enough about this event venue. The décor is lovely for a wedding and the staff is on point. Our current times call for extra measures and we could tell this staff took their commitment to keeping the guests safe very seriously. The plated dinner of chicken cordon blue and beef filet was delicious. Guests especially enjoyed the delightful platters of individual desserts they served to each table. Cream puffs, little cheesecakes, Napoleons; they were so good!
Our couple had added some special lighting that made the already gorgeous Hotel Julien even better. There was an LED archway for guests to walk through as they entered which was quite impressive. Even more impressive was the video wall. We, and the guests, were a bit in awe over all of the state of the art lighting and video. What a perfect venue to host such a wedding. Beautiful Dances and Fun Times for All
Father/Daughter dances are common and have been for a long time. What we don’t always see, however, are Mother/Son dances. The Hotel Julien Wedding Reception had both and both were quite special. The love felt by all at this wedding was evident and we felt honored to be a part of it. Alyssa and David had met years ago at a church function and they’ve been inseparable since. It was a special day indeed.
We began with our dueling piano show and ended with our awesome DJ performance. All of our duelists are trained DJ’s and the combination of live pianos and DJ is one of our most popular options. We had quite the mix of requests including Selena’s Bidi Bidi Bom Bom and Country Girls from Luke 
Bryan. We slowed it down for a bit of romance with Ed Sheeran’s Perfect. All in all, this was a very fun night of dancing, singing, and love all around.
