For the couples that want to emphasize the party, a Vegas style wedding at Diamond Jo Casino is a great option. And because of the way casino laws have changed over recent decades, you might find that Dubuque, IA has everything you are looking for.
We were lucky enough to work for such a fun couple last weekend. Sometimes we see couples that might be a bit nervous or uptight. That was definitely not the case at Diamond Jo’s. This was a group that felt really comfortable with each others company and they were going to have a great time no matter what.
Mom Decorates Entire Reception Area On Her Own
I never had a chance to ask HOW she was able to pull off this remarkable feat. Maybe this is her regular job. I don’t know, but the venue looked incredible, in part because of the amazing job that the bride’s mom did decorating it all on her own. Just look at some of these pics!
Diamond Jo Casino For Weddings
The casino works hard to serve as the areas premier banquet facility, and it was indeed stunning, and the food was prepared perfectly. The banquet was located in a private sector of the top floor. There was no access for people who were coming to play some cards or throw the dice, so wedding crashers was never a problem. And for the after-party… take a guess. An immense escalator takes guest to the floor where they can enter the casino and try their luck. After a wedding like that, they’ve already won!
Dueling Pianos At Diamond Jo Casino
We’ve played plenty of casino shows. Some of them were weddings and some of them were public events. All of them have been fun. As the night neared an end, the bride asked us for a song that was a real feel-good-hold-each-others-hand-and-sing kind of song. We had already done a few of those with great success, but at this point we were in our DJ portion of the night, and wanted to recreate some of that fun. The night ended (as agreed with the bride) with Country Roads. The entire wedding party was on the floor singing a long, and when the lights came on, they kept on singing. As they were leaving the banquet room, I could hear them still singing. There is nothing more satisfying as an entertainer than knowing the crowd you were working for had a great time.
