Felix and Fingers drove out to Pleasant Valley, Iowa as a referral to perform at The Davenport Country Club wedding.  One of our performers (Robert) had known a friend from a previous wedding.  Felix and Finger’s referral was “The highest rated dueling piano company online!”  It was awesome for us to see so many familiar faces at the Davenport Country Club wedding.  Congratulations Laney and Casey!

Davenport Country Club Wedding Pleasant Valley

Davenport Country Club WeddingFor this wedding, all of the chairs and linens were provided by I Do Events – Quad Cities. It was a sunny day with a cool breeze keeping guests comfortable.  The bride and groom exchanged vows under a custom made copper alter structure draped in fabric and greenery. JE Event Designs provided the beautiful flowers and greenery.  We were quite impressed!  Our performers for the Davenport Country Club wedding were Robert Deason and Greg Percifield.  They performed a traditional wedding march as beautiful Laney walked down the aisle surrounded by family and friends,

Since the Davenport Country Club only books one event per evening you will have the grounds and reception hall to yourself for your special event. If you would like to tour Davenport Country Club please click here.

A Nostalgic Ceremony

The Davenport Country Club wedding was no small event.  A few hundred guests and a large bridal party had everyone riding in golf carts from the ceremony location back to the reception.  Assistance from the friendly onsite event coordinator came in handy for the long reception hall setup.  Laney and Casey’s event coordinator knew the ropes and helped us set up our wireless speaker system.  Because of this set up knowledge everyone was able to hear our show.  During cocktail hour, a professional bartender served drinks with flair.  Flip to pour moves are always fun to watch.  Felix and Fingers loved seeing guests on the dance floor as we played instrumental songs like A Kiss to Build a Dream On by Louis Armstrong in the background.

The Davenport Country Club wedding’s professional culinary team outdid themselves.  Dinner was amazing.  For instance, not only was the filet mignon melt in your mouth delicious, the roasted chicken was amazing.  Robert and Greg performed a live version of At Last by Etta James for the bride and groom’s first dance.  The bride and groom were HUGE fans of 90’s music.  We kicked off the party with Just a Touch of Love by C & C Music Factory.  We thought this was a perfect first song!  Felix and Fingers had a blast keeping the dance floor packed all night long.  Above all, Fantasy by Mariah Carey and All That She Wants by Ace of Bass were a HUGE hit!

Felix and Fingers thought it was so sweet the bride and groom were married on Laney’s parents wedding anniversary day.  The nostalgia was indeed a loving gesture and reflected the respect they had for their parent’s marriage!
