This Ashton Hill Belated Wedding brought us back to one of our favorite venues in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While the actual wedding happened two years ago, the couple had been waiting to celebrate with family and friends due to the pandemic. Finally, the joyous day of their dreams came true.
Ashton Hill Belated Wedding Venue
Ashton Hill Farm in Cedar Rapids is the original home of this event venue. Their second venue is in Galena, Illinois and we love that one just as much. Felix and Fingers has performed at many, many weddings and we have never been disappointed with Ashton Hill Farm. You will have excellent accommodations for your before ceremony preparations, as well as ceremony location, cocktail hour, and reception spaces. We have always been impressed with their wedding coordinator. Not only do they have us as a preferred vendor, but they can set you up with all of the best in the area. Once you meet with the Ashton Hill team, your work is done. This group is top notch.

You will love the elegant mix of rustic and modern that comes together so fashionably. It’s a neutral palette that is the perfect backdrop for your specific wedding colors. Again, we love Ashton Hill Farm.
We Play It All
At the Ashton Hill Belated Wedding, we proved once again that we play it all. Early on in the show, someone requested Despacito by Luis Fonsi. They were quite surprised that, even though most of the song is in Spanish, we had it from start to finish. Our performer, Will, played a moving performance of John Legend’s All of Me. That had all the couples swaying romantically on the dance floor. But then player Chris’ version of Blackstreet’s No Diggity took the moves into a whole new direction. After our dueling piano portion of the evening, we then switched to our DJ show. All of our pianists are trained DJs and having both options is a popular choice for our brides and grooms.
The highlight of the evening was the attendance of one special princess–the beautiful six week old daughter of our bride and groom. She was quite the belle of the ball. So of course, we had to play Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely. What a special treat it was for us to play for this wonderful new baby girl.
